Hello once again landscape photography fans. I have excellent news for you. Perhaps you’ve already guess it from the title or the intro here. Anyways, another one of my landscape photos received an award. I just received word so I had to share. So, what lucky landscape photo received such distinction? Well, we have an autumn or fall sunset shot with a new award. Can you believe it? Keep reading to learn more.
So, now let’s start with the preliminaries. It’s traditional for me to share all the info I received. Let’s begin with the announcement email.
Hello cramerimaging,
Your creativity is inspiring and your photo “Fall Sunset” was selected to receive a new award.
Knowing that this was my favorite shot from the shoot that day, I wasn’t surprised to see it received an award. However, I still needed to click on the link to see what award it received. Here’s the information on the award.
Congratulations cramerimaging! Your photo has been selected as the recipient of the prestigious Top Pick 2023 Award. This image is a testament to your unwavering dedication to the growth and innovation of your photography, as well as your unmatched imagination. By capturing and sharing the essence of a single moment, you have inspired and motivated us all. Your artistry and creative spirit shine through in every frame.
I experienced my usual happy feeling with this announcement. I’m delighted every time one comes in. This one was no different.
For some reason, my thoughts turn to Zion National Park in the autumn. Not during most other times of year. I’m not sure why, but there it is. This was an attempt at a sunset shot of the underappreciated Kolob Canyon portion of the park. The top viewpoint did not disappoint. However, the sunset was a bit lack-luster that day. There were plenty of clouds (as you can see for yourself) but they didn’t light up much and they weren’t quite where I hoped they would be. Still, I tried to make the best of it and still capture some of the landscape with the sunset color which I had.
If you couldn’t tell, it was a difficult balance to keep some landscape foreground in along with the receding layers and the sunset color. Still, I think I did well, don’t you? I do believe that Viewbug agrees with me as they granted this fall sunset shot an award.
So, now I turn things over to you. What do you think of this landscape photo of mine? Do you love it? Do you hate it? Does it deserve the award it just received? Please leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
