So, I’ve been dreaming about opening my own art gallery for a while: a gallery which would feature my landscape photography to sell to the public. This past weekend, I managed to make that dream come true. It was hard work getting it going and getting everything in line, but it happened. If you keep reading, I’ll tell you more about my art gallery in Panguitch.
So, my gallery called the Panguitch Art Gallery and is located in Panguitch Utah at 63 N. Main. We’re currently open 3 days a week (Thursday-Saturday) from 4 PM to 9 PM. We feature my landscape photography but also showcase and sell other kinds of art (including consignments).
Why the strange hours? That’s a good question. We’ve observed over the past year that tourists walk the streets during the afternoon and evening hours. They aren’t doing much in town during normal business hours because they’re out enjoying some of the many natural wonders which are very close to this area. They walk the streets after they check in at one of the many local hotels or after they return from those outdoor attractions. Weekends are very popular times for tourists to visit the area.
I’m also pleased to announce that we had our very first customers not 10 minutes after opening for the very first time. They found a landscape photography print which they liked and bought it. They were gracious enough to let me take their photo and share it with all of you.
Thank you so much to this wonderful family. We’re happy they love their new photo print and that they came to patronize us. If you’re in the area, make sure to stop in and see us and our art. We’d love to have you drop by and see all the art for sale.
