This autumn has been a very profitable time for me and my landscape photography. I’ve been adding a few new photos to my portfolio lately. I’ve got another one to share with you. This time, I went back to Cedar Breaks National Monument to try for a spot and a shot I had previously discovered. Today, I want to share that new photo with you. I captured a glow in Cedar Breaks.
Cedar Breaks National Monument isn’t a particularly big outdoor experience as some national parks are. It has a couple of trails but most of the attraction is the red cliffs. It has a wide amphitheater much like the main amphitheater of Bryce Canyon. There are several viewpoints which you can see the amazing cliffs from. I happened to know where a perfect view is and brought my camera.
All I had to do was to wait for the perfect light of sunset and get into position. I had to share my spot with several tourists who were there to check out the beautiful view. The cold wind was cutting into my hands badly. There’s something about being over 10,000 feet on a mountain which brings up the wind. When the golden light of sunset came, I made sure that I was standing in the right spot and captured the scene.
In conclusion, I do enjoy getting beautiful photos like this and sharing them with all of you. Just make sure to watch out for the deer as you descend from this mountain top. They are plentiful and really do act like deer in the headlights. Share what you think of this Cedar Breaks glow photo in the comments section below.
