So, my persistence pays off yet again. If you can’t already tell, I received another photography award here recently. I really do love receiving these notifications. So, I’m sharing the good news with you. Which photo received such distinction? Keep reading to learn more.
Now I’ve collected the full set of landscape photos taken on a certain day a few years ago. This photo award marks the final member of the trio. Now that “Persistence” received recognition, every single photo I took that day received awards. So, as is tradition, I’ll include the information about the award for you. Let’s start with the award announcement from Viewbug.
Congratulations are in order!

The Moderator award is granted to the photo that is becoming popular and up-and-coming. There is no doubt that recently we have gone through some dark times, but light is always present shining through your captures. This light is brighter when we turn our attention to your photography 😄 This award is no small feat, as it puts the spotlight on your trending photo. Celebrate this award with us as it shows others appreciate and share your vision.
As usual, the explanation doesn’t make as much sense as I’d hoped. At least the up-and-coming portion makes a tiny bit of sense. This photo, at the time of writing, has been up for about 2.5 years. It bears 27 likes, 19 peer awards, 1 emotion (I don’t understand this flair), and 15 Top of Class awards in 6 separate contests. Clearly, it’s received some attention. Perhaps this is the reason for the Viewbug award.
This photo took some serious persistence on my part. While not living near the area at the time, I wanted a shot of Bryce Canyon’s Inspiration Point. Making it happen was less easy than it sounded. I made more than 1 attempt. Several of them failed. Still, I kept at it. The early mornings really sucked. However, in the end, I managed to capture this photo away from where I thought my shot was. So my persistence paid off.
Now I turn it over to you. What do you think of this photo? Do you love it? Do you hate it? Does it deserve the award it just received? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below. I look forward to your feedback.
