- ‘Sun Dance’ is a Contest Finalist Part 4
I’ve been a member of Viewbug for several years now. I’ve entered my photos into more contests than I can number. Every time they announce the finalists for each contest, my photo(s) are never on the list. That is until a couple of days ago. I’ve got a contest finalist in ‘Sun Dance.’
I always look forward to receiving an email from Viewbug announcing that the judges granted one of my photos a new award. They are so few and far between, it feels, that it’s always a special treat at the start of a workday.
This time, I received an email telling me that the judges chose my photo as a finalist in one of the contests I entered. I couldn’t believe it. The email was short and to-the-point.
Dear cramerimaging,
Your photo is a finalist in the Game Of Flares Photo Contest.
The rest of the very short email was asking for more details about the photo so that I could be eligible for a feature if they so chose to feature me.
Here is the beautiful photo which they chose.
I didn’t believe it. After all, I’ve spent quite a period of time with nothing like this coming my way. I had to be sure. I knew that Viewbug publishes a list of the finalists for every contest they run in a blog post. All I had to do was to search out the post for this contest: “A Game of Flares.”
When I found the post, I was greeted by this sight in amongst the many entries.
Not only that, but the photo received an award on the awards tab of my account showing it’s a finalist. I could only conclude that Sun Dance indeed is a finalist in the Game of Flares contest on Viewbug.
Check out the listing of Viewbug awards with Sun Dance listed as a contest finalist.
Keep your fingers crossed and your prayers out that I could actually win the contest. The competition looks steep. If I win, I’ll make a point of letting you all know. If not, I’m simply delighted to see one of my current favorite landscape photographs come this far. Here’s me doing a happy dance.
