The Most Important Equipment I Use

Edit Template

As a photographer, there’s some very important gear which I use.  We can start with my camera and go on to lenses, tripods, cable releases, and more.  Then there’s a good pair of hiking boots, a good winter jacket (as appropriate), a good water bottle, and more that way.  Still, there’s an even more important piece of equipment which I use that I don’t often discuss.  That is my focus today.

I feel that this quote really sums things up perfectly.  What more can I say?

When people ask me what equipment I use – I tell them my eyes.

-Anonymous

It’s with my eyes that I discover the amazing scenes which I capture on digital film.  My eyes show me when the light is right and when it’s not.  I frame my shots using my eyes though the viewfinder.  You admire my vision in landscape photos such as these.

These photos simply could not have happened without my eyes.  Indeed, my eyes are my most important piece of equipment as a photographer.  I literally could not do my job without them.

So, now I turn things over to you, reader.  What do you think the most important piece of equipment is for a photographer to use?  Is it their eyes or something else?  Please leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
