Here’s another entry into the behind-the-scenes videos I collected. As I do more than just landscape photography, I document those kinds of photos too. Here’s my videos for my very first balloonfest: the 2018 Panguitch Balloonfest. See what it was like.
The very first time I ever attended a hot air balloon festival, it was in 2018 and in Panguitch, Utah. There’s a balloon rally at the end of every June. It’s the biggest event in town. That year’s balloonfest was a sizable event bringing in lots of balloon teams, some which I haven’t seen since.
The morning was cool and clear. This allowed for some easy balloon flights. See for yourself with my launch and flight video snippets.
Launch
Flight
While it may not have been great conditions for landscape photography, it did make for some great flying conditions. The harsh direct sunlight plays no role in whether or not a hot air balloon may launch. The wind plays that part, in addition to stormy conditions. Those conditions resulted in hot air balloon photos from the 2018 Panguitch Balloonfest like these.
If you’d like to see more of my hot air balloon photos from that day, then check out this article. It will show you all I took that day in addition to more details about the shoot.
So, now I turn things over to you. What do you think of my 2018 Panguitch Balloonfest photos now that you can see the bts videos? Do they add something to the pictures for you? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.
