Hello again landscape photography fan. You’ve probably guessed the purpose of this article. I present these occasionally. Well, it happened again. Another one of my landscape photos, titled Ice Castle, received an award. I know you’re dying to know more, so let’s get into it. Here’s more information about the award.
Let’s follow tradition. The email from Viewbug appeared in my inbox with the good news. Here’s the text of it for you.
Hello cramerimaging,
Your creative spark is contagious and your photo “Ice Castle” was selected to receive an award.
Included was the usual link to learn more. Of course, I clicked on the link and found myself greeted by a page with the following information about the award.
Congratulations cramerimaging, your photo has been selected as the recipient of the valued Action Award for its unwavering presence in challenges. This photo hasn’t just captured a moment it has showcased perseverance zeal and the relentless pursuit of excellence. Your dedication to the craft inspires us all.
So, there it is. My landscape photo titled “Ice Castle” received another award, this time, the Action Award. I do wonder what they mean by “Action” in the award title. It is indeed a long exposure photo covering the action of flowing water surrounded by ice. Reading the definition seems to say: thanks for submitting this photo to numerous challenges (mini photo contests) on our site. Still, an award is an award. I won’t complain.
This icy cold scene was a single shot taken during blue hour. I didn’t require neutral density filters to properly expose the image. It was dark enough otherwise. That is a rarity which I happily discovered and capitalized on during this shoot. Indeed, I used only the camera, lens, tripod, and cable release to make this stunning and gorgeous photo happen.
So, now I turn things over to you, reader. What do you think of this beautiful and award-winning landscape photo of mine? Do you like it? Do you hate it? Does it deserve the award it just received? Please leave your thoughts in the comments section below. I’d love to read your feedback on the matter.
