Hello again landscape photography fans! It’s time once again for some good news. Another one of my landscape photos just received an award. Viewbug decided to recognize my most decorated photo on their site to-date: “Ice Castle” with a new award. It seems fitting that the award they granted reflects that fact. Learn more about this photo and its new award right here.
So, this award, as stated before, reflects the fact that “Ice Castle” has my top award count on Viewbug. I guess people love this landscape photo. I know I do. So, in keeping with tradition, here’s the information from the email and also from the website about this award.
Hi cramerimaging,
Your creativity is inspiring and your photo “Ice Castle” was selected to receive a new award.
As usual, there’s very little to glean from the announcement email. I learn which photo they recognized. That’s about it. So, I clicked on the link to learn more. Here’s what they had to say on the matter.
Dear cramerimaging, this photo has captured people’s imagination, it quickly became your most popular shot and your cover shot in the community. This is why this photo has been selected to receive the Zenith Award! Congratulations on the well-deserved recognition this awarded creation has received!
Zenith is defined as “the time at which something is most powerful or successful”. This photo shows that with the power of your creativity, you have been able to create amazing things that help others be inspired and more creative. What an incredible feeling it must be 😄 Does not need to end here though… promote different photos by participating with new shots in contests and challenges. The more you partake in the community, the more exposure your work will receive.
I really do love these kinds of announcements. It feels good to receive recognition for my hard work as a landscape photographer. This photo is, perhaps, one of my early best pictures. So, naturally, I’m delighted that others love this image as well.
I took this photo as a last-minute entertainment attempt. I was after a completely different photo that day (which I also captured by the way). That shape of ice in the image drew me in. It just so happened to be blue hour so I could take a multi-second exposure without filters or other assists. The blue really contributed to the overall feel of the image as well. So, I’m really happy this image continues to do well and receive recognition on Viewbug.
So, what do you think of this landscape photo titled “Ice Castle” and the award it just received? Do you like the photo? Do you hate it? Does it deserve this award? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below. I’d really love to read your feedback on this matter.
